Interior Decorating Ideas For Girls Bedroom Design

Girls bedroom designs can really show off who your daughter is and who she wants to be. It a chance to experiment with design and just have fun. It's also a bonding experience that doesn't have to totally break the bank. Here are a few tips for decorating a girls bedroom.

Paint the furniture. She may have had the same furniture since she was quite small. You might be reluctant to buy new furniture. However, you can just give it a little bit of a facelift to make it work within the theme. She might want a very daring black. When you put this on the furniture it isn't quite as harsh as it would be on the walls. This is the perfect compromise.

Let her decide on a color palette. She might not want the basic pink room. You can really create a feminine space just by going with the basic black and white. This can be very contemporary and has high contrast. You'll want to bring in very beautiful damask prints for more of an elegant look. Then you can mix and match in different white furniture pieces to create a cohesive design that has a lot of interest and relates to the furniture at the same time. This is really important when decorating a budget to make the room feel lighter, brighter and new.

Find ways to bring in funky elements that you can remove later on. She might be obsessed with France but you don't want to spend a lot of money on creating a theme that she might grow out of easily. You could try painting a few French words on the wall in a border around the room. This can easily be painted over later on. You can find wall stickers that look like the Eiffel tower. You really want to make the statements quite large so that they don't seem too juvenile. This way she'll be able to grow into her room no matter her age.

Little Girls Bedroom Decorating Ideas

A girl's bedroom is usually her sanctuary. With the correct design it should reflect her personality. It should inspire and motivate her. For decorating a girl's bedroom, experimenting with different colours is okay as this can be thrilling to the girl. For girls who love dancing, the room can be designed to reflect this. You can make the room look like a ballet studio by hanging mirrors on the walls making it look like a private ballet studio. For this design, the walls should be painted in pink. You can also hang ballet shoes on the walls and have a pink skirt bed. The bedding can be pink in colour although cream colour will also do.

Another great design for a girl's bedroom is setting a beach theme. This works mostly because many teenagers like to surf and walk along beaches. You can use blue colour to represent water and brown colour to represent sand. If your girl loves art, you can have her paint ocean waves, sea gulls and other ocean creatures. One of the walls can also be painted to depict sunset. To make the walls more charming you can attach surfboards or hibiscus flowers. These can also be used to create islands. The bedding's colour should enhance the beach theme. One way to ensure this is by using raffia fingers on the desks, window valances or the dressers. Shell shaped party lights can be stringed along the window valances.

For girls whose sole passion is travelling, the bedroom should be designed to reflect the same. This can be done by designing each wall to represent her favourite destinations such as the pyramids of Giza. This requires the use of imagination in order to satisfy her fantasies.

Finally, the colour you use to decorate the bedroom is very important as it reflects her personality. A good way to use this to your advantage is by painting the walls of her bedroom with her favourite colour. You can also have another colour that complements her favourite colour to create something more unique. Painting stripes, clouds, polka dots or using stencils can have a better effect than painting a solid colour. A mural painted on one of the walls can also help create a unique bedroom design for your girl. Finally the colour that you choose for the curtains and other bedroom accessories should rhyme with the wall colour.

Since girl's bedrooms are expected to be cozy and glamorous, make sure the design reflects the same. This should also include a private reading area. This can be created on one corner with a lot of cushy pillows and a white shag carpet. Remember to hang soft fantasy bower over the area to make it special. Although there are so many ideas you can use for your girls bedroom make sure you include her input as this will ensure an end product that is acceptable to her.

Black and White Bedding For a Classic Bedroom Interior

Black and white bedding is an easy way to add an instant touch of sophistication to a bedroom. It immediately lends an air of class and elegance, making any home feel modern and fashionably up-to-date. It makes any bedroom look like a classic and feel like one too, especially if you go for bedding of the highest quality and made from the best materials. These days, you can find many resources for bedding, bed sheets and bed covers plus black bedding sets here on the internet, and the prices are competitive so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding inexpensive yet stylish bedding in plain black or with a black and white pattern.

These days, interior designers work with colours that go far beyond what nature has provided us with. Through trial and error, advanced technology has allowed manufacturers to create products that use colours rarely seen in nature, giving way to a vast expansion of the basic palette. If you wish to paint a room in your house today, you'd have to choose from amongst hundreds of colours, with names that suggest a particular fruit, vegetable, element, and what-have-you. You could get virtually lost in a haze and maze of colours. What's challenging about this is that your untrained eye could lead to a disastrous choice you could get your decor and furniture too understated or horribly overdone.

Thank goodness there are two colours that will never let you down, two colours that you can always depend on -- black and white. By definition, these are not colours per se: white is seen as the absence of colour, and black as the presence of all colours (though scientifically the reverse is true). But both black and white are what usually come to mind when one thinks of the perfect combination for a classic colour palette. Like doughnuts and coffee, these are two colours that go so well together that no other option will do.

And while you're looking for black and white bedding, why not shop online for other accessories for your bedroom, too? Complete the contemporary look you've started by adding pillow covers, duvet covers, comforters, and quilts in the same colour combination. Then you can choose to match or compliment your main palette with other exciting hues, such as red (which always commands the eye's attention), pink (which is perfect for adding a romantic tone), green (which promotes a sense of calm and peace), or yellow (which can give you the happy boost you need during the day).

In decorating and dressing a bedroom, you need to take all details into consideration. In terms of the theme and the motif, you need to be confident of your choice. After all, room makeovers are a costly thing so you don't want to pay for something you're going to get tired of in a just a short while. Thus, you need to be sure that your theme and motif is something you really want. When it comes to colour combinations, black and white is a safe and stylish choice.

Contemporary Loft with Original Twisted Furniture in Hamburg

GRAFT is an architecture and urban planning company founded in Los Angeles, USA, in 1998. Loft Hamburg is one of the projects they recently completed for Vanessa Kullmann. It was meant as a private residence and it is currently worth $200,000. The place is a display of dramatic furniture and unexpected angles, a wonderful approach to contemporary design. The centerpiece of the apartment is the wooden kitchen which is also half bathroom. We are not sure how this works exactly, but we salute its originality. We also like the TV area and the fact that it can be hidden by a panel. What are the items that caught your attention?
